NTNU Library Regulations Governing Non-affiliated users

  1. This set of regulations governs the behavior of non-affiliated users who require use of the Library for teaching research purposes.
  2. Non-affiliated users must be older than 18 years old or have a college degree. After filling in the form at the information desk and giving their ID, driver's license, student ID, or teacher identity card to the librarian, non-affiliated users can get a temporary librarycard allowing them to enter. The Library may refuse admittance to those who do not provide a valid form of identification. Users who lose or fail to return the temporarycard the same day as issued will be fined NT$200.
  3. No additional non-affiliated users will be allowed entry when the total number already admitted reaches 60 (50 during the midterm and final exam period). Personal books and backpacks should put in the lockers outside the library. Unless the user is part of a group that made an official application in advance.
  4. Any institution or school that arranges group visits must deliver official documentation in advance. Group visitors should arrive at the appointed time.
  5. The Library welcomes non-affiliated users to consult our archives, but materials from the archives are not available for check out.
  6. The Library can deny access to non-affiliated users or revoke their temporarycards should they violate Library rules.
  7. This set of regulations was implemented after being passed by the Library Committee Members Meeting and approved by the University President; any revisions shall follow the same process for approval.
